Decks

The hardest part of any home renovation project isn’t necessarily the work itself, it’s finding the right contractor to do the job. As one of Saskatoon’s best and most trusted deck builders, we know that your deck is our brand. That means we want to grow this company on customer satisfaction, which is why we pride ourselves on being a high-quality deck contractor that performs every job at a high level from start to finish.

At Compound Decks, Ltd., we’re familiar with the best materials, techniques and designs to build or clients the best wood decks and composite decks around, improving your home’s quality and value. We work with all our clients to choose the right materials for their style and budget on every custom deck build, based on their individual needs, such as railing designs, maintenance requirements, durability, and support. We’ll also support your property improvements with deck railings, kitchens, pergolas or custom wooden fences, and gates made of treated spruce and cedar.

Building a Deck

When building a deck, the first thing that should come to mind is your deck design. Once you contact us, we’ll work with you to create a 3-D deck design, discuss materials and process, and create a formal quote. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, and that includes ensuring every deck we work on is finished on-time, on budget, and is built to last.

Building to Last with G-Tape & (Cutex extreme)

Underneath all our decking, we seal every cut, on every board, with Cutex extreme  and use G-Tape on all structural members to create a water-sealed finished product. We think you deserve lasting quality in our deck construction work, and we want your new home investment to last as long as you do, which is why we always build above code.

What is G Tape?

G-Tape is an exceptional acrylic adhesive flashing tape, waterproofing your deck substructure to prevent water damage and rot from stealing years away from the longevity of your deck.

We love G-tape. It’s the easiest way to flash the ledger board and keep water out of your house. It’s also used on top of the joist, even though wood is pressure treated. Screws from the deck boards penetrate the joists leaving holes for water to run in and rot your joist from the inside out. G-Tape acts like a washer around the screw and keeps water out, adding extra protection having your deck last many years to come.
